Google Voice on the Iconia

There is a post by pbrauer in the Honeycomb OS forum that has a link to a hacked version of Google Voice that works in Honeycomb.

I installed it on my Iconia last night and the TXTing part of it works just fine. I have no tried to make or receive a call yet. TXTing is about all I use Voice for.

I dont get how to use this app on the tab.. How are you sending and receiving txts? is it from your cell number? or the google number.. where in the app can you do this at? and how would you be able to make a call? no place to dial the number.. thanks for the info!

This hacked app is for an Android phone though, while installing it asks for "this phone's number" what did you do there?

While cool that he got it working, I think what we need is the "Google Voice web page" as an app.

The app is the full Google Voice app. If you have already gotten yourself a Google Voice number, then it can be set up to use that. For more information on getting one you can go to www.google.com/voice. I actually have mine set up so that I can use it for texting on my G Tablet, I really have no need for voice since I have a separate cellphone, but there are ways to additionally configure it to do voice. you will need to set up something like SIP Droid to get that additional functions to work.
