GPAD G10 Firmware query

Hi , I have been reading around the forums and the more I read the more I am confusing myself so thought I would just ask straight out!!

What firmware should I use on a GPAD G10 ??

I have been confused by custom roms being available, and whether firmware for similar models can be used (M701 ? Phecda ? X5GA etc etc.)

So can anyone point me in the right direction for latest (best?) firmware for this unit ? and a dummies guide would be useful too!!

What version of firmware do you have now, and why do you want to upgrade it?

Firmware version says 2.1update 1 , kernel version 2.6.29 #301

Not having any real problems as such, was just afraid I might be missing out on something better!!!
