Locking the Viewpad 7

Google-ing how to do this tells me to:
Settings - Location&Security - Change screen lock and choose what kind of lock I want to use

and that should be enough to lock my device. But it doesn`t lock, on my ipod touch I still have to use the slide pad even if I don`t have my lock activated, shouldn`t this be the same thing? On mine if I push any button after I put the machine to sleep (touch side power button but don`t turn of device) it just turns back on to my main screen without making me unlock the device.

I too am having a similar problem. But on my Nook Color. No matter what lock screen option I pick the screen just won't lock. Anyone have a fix/workaround?

My phone only locks if I turn it off, not when it goes to sleep. Maybe your tabs work the same way.

I've read that tablets with cm7 have an extra settings section specifically for tablets. There's an option in there for disabling the screen lock, this fixed my problem.

No I have turned it off and it just comes up to my homepage.
