pb liberty tab g100 - bbc iplayer

hi everybody,
am a newbie to androids and would appreciate some help.
i recently purchased the packard bell g100 tablet and had a problem with the bbc iplayer.
this worked well until recently when there was a problem with the picture.
thinking i could remove the application and then reinstall it to see if this would clear the fault i proceded to do so.
now when i try to reinstall the iplayer i get the message "this app is not suitable for your device. select a different device".
any suggestions please and thanks in advance.
