Removing the 7015 back cover without damage?

OK, today I was trying to remove the back cover off of my 7015a to get a look at the battery set-up. Well, using my fingernail didn't work other than breaking it and man did that hurt! Any ideas on a tool that wouldn't damage the plastic? I would love to do this without showing any marks on the cover.

For what it's worth, I've used old credit cards and similar cards for things like that. They're also good for scraping dealer stickers off cars w/o damaging the paint.
