So who's planning on getting one of these bad boys?

Nice! So who is going to be the lucky first owner? Great specs and a realistic price. What more can you ask for?

That is one powerhouse of a tablet, and for the price it looks like Acer is serious about being a contender.

I pre-ordered. When you can get this and a ton of goodies including a PS3 Starter kit (I plan to do a lot of gaming on the TV with the A700), keyboard, case, and a 64GB Class10 SanDisk for LESS than the cost of a Transformer Prime w/docking & the SanDisk...I just couldn't pass it up. I'm pretty excited to be getting my first real tablet. The NookColor has been fun for the past year and a half, but it's time to get something with a bit more 'wow'. Plus, my son is begging me for the NC constantly.

Well I'll be hanging out here in AU waiting for the official release date. In the meantime I hoarding the dosh/cash. Hope I can get as good a deal!

You think it's worth the upgrade from the A500?

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. My wife wanted my A500 and it was getting hard to share time on a single tablet, so I bought an A700.

Side by side, the 700 wins every competition.

But if I didn't have use for two tablets, or a buyer for the old one, it wouldn't have made sense.

Gaming is the only area where the 700 really shines with games written for multi core.

Movies are stunning on the 700, but I don't watch many.
