Zeepad 4.2: Lost Factory Settings

how do I get my original settings back on my Zeepad4.2. some of my games won't install. When I tap on the settings icon it tells me "this app is not installed".
HELP!!

Yes, the original settings - I can't get to them. I don't know what rooted means - I'm trying to help my grandson with his Zeepad.

On most tablets the settings app looks somewhat like a gear. Since it is a part of the operating system, if it's not working, it must be corrupted. There is little you can do if you can't access that app. If a simple restart of the tablet doesn't help, you may need to do a hardware factory reset.
