"green android icon holding a yellow triangle with an exclamation point"

Hi, having the very same issue, stuck on "Android System" screen and every update.zip I find seems to get me back to the same ponit. If there is still someone reading this, where can I find the zip that worked for you guys (post #8). Link is dead. Thanks.

Try this at your OWN RISK, if you haven't already..
Download this to a PC --> Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
Leave folder compressed.
Transfer update.zip to an external SD card.
Place external SD card into tablet.
Hold the Power & - Vol buttons till it reads Booting Recovery kernel image

Warning: If you haven't attempted this before & did not root your tablet.
If it's within warranty, send it to ACER.

N Chance to have this Re up, Sir? I appreciate it.

Rgds,

Hi HD87,
I am having the same problem as described above, I have tried to get the 4.010.07_COM_GEN1 file without no success.
In the mean time, I have downloaded the following files:
Acer_A500_4.010.38_COM_GEN1
Acer_A500_4.010.40_COM_GEN1
and when I put the SD card and tried to boot, it showed a screen with the message "tablet is configuring, please don't turn off or reset" but then it rebooted itself and then went back to the black acer screen showing in the top left corner a message stating " boot verified failed"

Are you able to share with me the file to reboot?

Many thanks

I would just like to add the following for future reference:

Make sure your screen is set to the maximum time of 30 minutes before you do any update.

If you have only 15% left in the battery, doing an update will brick your tablet. You will have to open your A500 up and remove the battery to charge it. A suggestion - never let your tablet get below 35% battery and charge it immediately. Never leave it in the discharge state because that will certainly kill your battery.
