how to upgrade ANDROID OS

I have a tablet PC M701. It contains Android OS version 2.1, i want to upgrade my OS version from 2.1 to at-least 2.2 or to a higher version.
The Android Market software installed in my Tablet does-not contain the yahoo mail, yahoo messenger, and softwares like them,
Please help me in installing new market for my tablet or new OS version,
