Power Cord Problem

I am SICK to death of every device having a different power cord that fits!! Tablet is not very old but power cord seems to have short when i tried to use it tonight. Red light would not come on. Any suggestions except buy a new power cord?

You have a USB cable? You can charge your tablet via that through a Desktop PC or laptop as an alternative possibly? Give it a try! Also you could try to source another power supply pack?

Do you have a multimeter or test light? Check the charger to verify if you are actually getting voltage at the connector. If so, the problem may be on the tablet end. Has it been dropped while plugged in? I ask because it happened to me and broke the solder joints holding the charging jack to the circuit board. I had to resolder it. One prong was too badly damaged so I soldered a jumper wire to the connector for the battery pack.
