About LinkBacksOK due to the fact that Android is indeed a Mobile OS some of my friends kept Assuring me that there is no way to get a virus which I know to be false any OS is susceptible to a virus and being that android is an Open Source Operating system It definitely can get a Virus but what I want to know is What are the chances of getting a Virus and should I have an Antivirus App just to be safe and If so which one

Yes you can get a virus, and they are out there. Get Lookout.

you are correct android can get viruses but its not very likely. I dont have virus software on my devices but my dad does on his, so it just comes down to what you feel comfortable with.

It is not likely that you'll get a virus, it is still possible. I use Lookout as well on my Android devices. Better safe than sorry, eh?
