How to fool sky go so that it appears not rooted?

Hello, I have a Google Nexus 7 and it is rooted.
Is there any way to make it appear not rooted to some apps?

I want to be able to use Sky Go on it but it will not run on rooted devices.

rename the su binary and symlink to another name

What will the effect of doing this do?

I would try using OTA Rootkeeper and do the temp unroot when you want to run it.

When you need root, go back and restore root.

I have tried that and the sky app still thinks it's rooted
