Pantech Element Splash-Resist Tab Coming to AT&T's LTE Network January 8th for $299

It's that time just before CES, that several companies pre-announce teaser information just before the big event. Pantech and AT&T shared that the new Pantech Element 4G LTE splash-resistant Android tablet will be available as of January 8th of next week. The tablet will be $299.99 on a two-year contract, or $449.99 off-contract. Here are the specs for this device:
    • 8-inch display
    • 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
    • Android 3.2 Honeycomb
    • 16GB of internal storage
    • Advanced “Piezo Motor” haptic feedback
    • 5-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video capture support
    • 2-megapixel front-facing camera for 720p video calling,
    • Water-Resistant to IP57 = the tablet is splash resistant as long as all ports are closed

This looks like a decent enough product when you factor in the splash-resistance, but it seems like it could be just another average Android tablet in an otherwise crowded field. What do you guys think?
