Google Shares Their Zeitgeist 2012 Searches Video; 1.2 Trillion Web Searches
Zeitgeist. The definition of the word, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary is the following: zeit·geist / noun, often capitalized / the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era. It's basically, "the spirit of the times." Google just shared their Zeitgeist 2012 video highlighting a small fraction of the top searches for 2012, and how those searches reflect on what we did, and what were fascinated by in 2012. Google logged in over 1.2 Trillion (That's with a "t") web searches in 146 different languages.
If you had a great year, then this video is a perfect "cherry on top" finisher, and might just inspire you to make 2013 even better. For those who perhaps felt unsatisfied with 2012, this video might just entice you to look at this past year in a different light, and see the magnificence of human potential, or at the very least inspire you to try harder next year to make things better. When the people of this planet come together and truly collaborate, amazing feats of creativity are accomplished. There are always obstacles to overcome and bumps in the road, but in the end, we have a bright future ahead.
