can't log in to facebook on my tablet

Hi All,

I'm new here and having problems trying to log in to Facebook on my tablet. It's a Pandigital Supernova 8" e-reader / tablet. It was a refurbished unit when I bought it and everything seems to work great, except facebook. I can log on and off just fine on my desktop, but not on the tablet. It came with facebook pre-loaded on it and when I hit the facebook icon, the log in page comes up, but when I hit the log in button, it then goes to a page that says "web page not available". It also says "the web page might be temporarily down or may have been moved permanently to a new web address". Then it gives some suggestions to try, and I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work. I thought I would try and delete the facebook app and reload it, but it came pre-loaded and won't let me delete it. It is connected to wifi and I can connect to any other page on the net, just not facebook. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
