    Android and the Visually Impaired

Hi, I want to get a tablet and I really don't mind if it's an iPad or an Andorid tablet. I'm registered as severely sight impaired in the UK and I wanted to ask if Android devices have features to help visually impaired people. I have an iPhone 3GS (looking for a new phone Android/Win7) and it does have a few useful features like I can zoom into anywhere on the screen whenever I want, text to speech and high contrast. Do Android devices have similar accessibility features?.
Any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance.
