Home Tablet 7 can the device be opened up for repair? broken USB hub

I somehow managed to break the USB connector on the device--just before I was going to do a repair on the firmware. I was thinking if I could open it, I might be able to solder the thing.
Wondering if anyone has opened it. I took out a bunch of screws on the back, but can't find how it can be pried apart.
