Im Creating this thread as centralized place for Rooting Methods, and future ROM builds for the Sansui Etab 1000
(Sold in South Africa, a Rebranded Koby Kyros MID1024N.)

The Differences:

• Ships with Android 2.3
• Internal 8gb Memory
• Screen: lcd=lp101
• Touch: Goodix-TS 1-0055: Guitar Version: GT81XNI_1R05_18B

Rooting Method:
None yet.

Backup ROM:
(I have one, however its not 100% stock, and I cant seem to get the Bootloader [u-boot.bin] to backup)

Rooting methods that have been tried include SuperOneClick v2.3.3, and the MID1024N methods Described in another thread.

Also could the tablet not being rooted affect the backup procedure?

On latest SOC, try first "shell root", then full root. Shell root is needed first in order to get root access in adb, used for full root.
