I am currently trying to run the CM_8042 on my tablet and when I try to install from the sd card I get "E: signature verification failed" "Installation aborted." Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

I'm also running into the "signature verification failed" issue. I've installing the CM_8042 and 8042_4.0.4 both to no avail. I did however try installing gapps-ics-20120429-signed and that seemed to work, however none of the Google Play apps are available, possibly because that's for version 4.0.4 and my tablet is 4.0.3? I am rooted and I am running the CWM recovery tool.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

There is no signature on these zips, you must have CW recovery installed to install these roms.

I do have CW recovery installed and that's why I'm using to install the ROM.

Edit: Let me temporarily rescind this question as I'm not 100% sure that the CWM recovery tool installed correctly as I remember seeing a 3e which might still be the Android recovery tool. I was using Traveller1701's root_restore.bat to install the CWM Recovery. Let me try running the steps in this thread (http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/coby-generation-3-development/44509-cw-recovery-v6-0-1-1-coby-7042-8042-a.html) and I'll report back.
