How to upgrade Android 2.2 to 3.0?

I just recently got an Impression i7 tablet and it came with Android 2.2-0831 and I'm looking for a custom rom for it but until then would it be possible to upgrade it to 3.0 or even 4.0?

    Kernal is 2.6.32.9
