The Ainol Novo 7 Aurora is now shipping. The Novo 7 Elf and the Aurora are the exact same tablet except for the Aurora has a 150 viewing angle IPS capacitive screen (same screen as the iPad 2). The Aurora is the 1st 7-inch tablet to have IPS screen and run Ice Cream Sandwich.

Found a comparison review between the Elf and the Aurora: Ainol Novo 7 Aurora IPS hammers Elf Android 4.0 Tablet PC | PRLog I am kind of glad I changed order to the Aurora now...

Also, two review videos of the Aurora. The Aurora is thinner than the Elf by the looks of it.

Hmm, Aurora looks good, my only difficulty now is finding a good source either in the UK or for sending one to the UK

This boy wants an aurora, as "geefull" says a nice source for the UK would be great. If I hear anything I will keep you posted

Two other differences of note: The Aurora runs at 1.2GHz and has a volume rocker. The Elf runs at 1GHz and the rocker switch is menu/home.

I have the Elf and the lack of a volume rocker is a major drawback.

It is a great tablet except for the battery life.
