Onda V712 3G use
Hi all, after a fair bit of cursing and a heap of help from our friend in Newcasltle, England, got my V2 V712 going very nicely. Installed plently of google apps and all working. Now have got a HUAWEI E1752 3G modem. Connected and was able to access web via the 3G no probs but good bit slower than home ADSL2+. Was wondering if the tablet can be used as a phone ? Had a look for a phone app but not much luck. Anyone done this yet ?

Hi, all firmware contains the phone software, but it wont work as their not fitted with the hardware for it, if you look in root/system/apps you should see phone.apk(not phonesky.apk) press to install, but unless it contains the hardware it wont work.
What man make's... Man breaks... Then put's it back together, correctly.

Cheers, checked and app is there but does not install - shame.
