Guide to Putting DVDs on Vivitar Camelio

Tricks for watching DVD movies on Vivitar Camelio, and how to rip and convert DVD to Vivitar Camelio playable video formats.

The question comes up with the release of Vivitar's kid-friendly Camelio tablet: how to watch DVD movies on Vivitar Cameliot? Well, since the Android based tablet doesn't have a DVD-ROM that can play DVD movies, you may have to find another way to get the work done. If you haven't got a way to make it, you can follow this simple guide to rip DVD movies to Vivitar Camelio compatible videos. It's much easier than you may think and only comes with some help from a third-party software. But it can be done.

First, free download and install Pavtube DVD Ripper: Get the Windows Version here, and the Mac Version here:

Frankly, the program is very easy to use for editing and conversion. I've had success using it to convert DVDs to Vivitar Camelio playable format and I've found the quality to be excellent, and see no difference when compared to playing the discs themselves. With it, you can not only rip video from DVD for Vivitar Camelio, but also other portable media players like iPhone, iPad, iPod, HTC, Samsung, PS Vita, Windows tablet/Phone, Xbox 360, etc. Just get it and follow the tutorial below to transfer and put DVD movies onto Vivitar Camelio.

Guide: How to Convert DVD to MP4 videos for Vivitar Camelio

Note: The quick start guide below uses DVD Ripper for Windows screenshots. The way to transfer DVD to Vivitar Camelio in Mac (Lion and Mountain Lion) is the same. Just make sure you've downloaded the right version.

    Step 1: Load DVD

Run the DVD to Vivitar Camelio Converter, then click "Load DVD" icon to add the DVD files you want to play on your Surface Pro from DVD disc, DVD folder, ISO or IFO. As you can see, loaded files can be previewed in the right preview window and you can take snapshots of your favorite movie scenes.

Tips: You can click "Edit" to customize your videos by cropping, rotating, adding watermarks, adjusting video effects or trim to get the very part you want. For ripping DVD with subtitles, you can click "Subtitles" bar to choose your wanted subtitles.

    Step 2: Choose output format

Click "Format" bar, you can get optimized videos for your Vivitar Camelio under "Android > Amazon Kindle Fire H.264(*.mp4)". The preset is specially designed for Kindle Fire but the output videos could fit on Camelio perfectly.

Tips: If you like, you can click "Settings" to change the video encoder, resolution, frame rate, etc. as you wish. Remember the file size and video quality is based more on bitrate than resolution which means itrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.

Step 3: Start DVD to Vivitar Camelio conversion

After all the above settings, simply click "Convert" button to start converting DVD to Vivitar Camelio MP4 video.

After the conversion, click "Open" to find the result videos and transfer them to your Vivitar Camelio.

P.S. If you're going to transfer Blu-ray/DVD movies and HD videos to your Android or iOS or Window RT/8 based device for playback, you can get Pavtube Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate to encode movies to play on your device smoothly.
