The Galaxy Note is getting ICS

If anyone want official update using dirty way (No rooting required)

Change your CSC Code to German and upgrade via KIES; this will also factory reset your phone.

*#272*IMEI# then change the CSC to DBT.
Phone will reset.
Change language to English (bottom right icon)
follow prompts to setup
Connect to KIES and the phone will update to ICS.
When your finished, you change the CSC code back to whatever you had before.

For those using ATT Galaxy Note (si717) there is a pretty stable ICS leak - fairly easy to install - and i must say improved the UI performance for me
the S-Pen is also much more responsive than before

Okay, I want the OFFICIAL ICS for the note. And preferably without rooting because I'm too afraid of the risk of ****ing everything up. So.. Any idea on how to install it on my note ? Assuming it even came out.. I'm in the middle east if you're wondering. And my Note is a GTN7000

the veersion i posted above is the official version but for the Si717, just leaked - it is not rooted. But if you are worried about the risk, wait for the samsung upgrade

Hi all

I was pleased to find my T mobile UK supplied note was offered a update today via kies.
It took a couple of tries and downloaded some extra files but i got there in the end !
I spent half the afternoon putting back all my shortcuts and bookmarks on the home pages but im happy with it so far.

One problem i have that my copilot navigation app no longer runs, does anyone have any advice on sorting this ?

What network are you on mate ?
I checked OTA when Kies offered me the upgrade but it said none available, Im on T mobile.
BTW My note came unlocked from T mobile and with no T mobile logos branding or apps & was the same after the upgrade, was it the same on your network ?
