Download Pictures from Camera to Samsung Galaxy Tab

Recently got a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tab and love it except for couple problems. First it does not have a USB port (significant short fall) but I can buy a $20 add on that will give me one. The problem is that Samsung says it will only access a USB memory stick, not my camera (big bummer). Will something like the Astro File Manager allow me to conect my camera directly to the Samsung USB port? or is there another solution other than copy the pictures a PC then copy them to the Tab (major pain in the butt).
