I just had the unit installed into my Suzuki Swift Sport today but am not able to figure out how to connect the steering wheel control.
    Anyone has successfully done it?
My extension only has four wires (no +5v wire), lead has 5 wires, which is different from the product picture online.

Anyone manage to get Sygic running on the pad? Copilot works but Sygic hangs after starting.

Hi. Here is the video, demonstrating steering wheel controls on my Nissan.

You need to look at the electric circuit diagram of your car and find the type of steering wheel control and wire layout.

If it uses CAN Bus steering wheel controls, i don`t know if your 777 will work. Propably it won`t.

If it has a resistive keys - 777 will work. You need to connect GND to GND wire of the steering wheel keys, Steering wheel control has 1 or 2 outputs depending on car model. Connect Ad1 and Ad2 to the outputs. That is all. Now it should work. However, it may recognize not all the keys because they give similar measuring results. In this case you need to add extra 500 Ohm resistor between each AD line and +5V.

Resistive keys control system is just a set of different resistors. 777 measures resistance (actually - voltage) between GND and ADx and recognizes which key is pressed.

But anyways, i recommend to download and study service manual for your car first to avoid possible problems.

There is also one more type of steering wheel controls, but i have no idea how it works and how to connect 777.

Sygic doesn`t work on my 777.

    Hi gpmg,

I cant help with the Steering wheel controls (my van dont have them :-( ! ) But I did manage to get sygic maps 10 working sort of, I used the keygen supplied & booted it up, however the first few times I thought it had crashed because it took so long to initalise (over 10 mins !) my pad is the older slower Dm7022 so it might quicker on the the Dm7033, I found it tediously slow and on occasion I got to my destination before it had fired up !!

Copilot runs much better on my pad, so i've stuck with it but even co pilot dont run as well as it does on my phone.

Thanks again for your help with youtube.

    Hi guys,

I cant believe it ! I just dropped my pad & killed the screen :-(( So, i've got to concentrate on either fixing it or replacing it with dm7033 . I'm truly pissed off at myself & have to keep thinking these things happen (not that its helping much) Any advice hints on either repair or replacement would be very welcome at this stage .

Hi mark, sorry to hear about that. But don`t worry. If you need urgent repair, just come to any cellphone/pda/navigation service centre and they should be able to fix your tablet in just a 2-3 hours. It is a very common and easy to fix problem. I am now trying to purchase spare lcd screen assy (LCD+digitizer+face panel) from the manufacturer just to keep one spare screen. I see it is too easy to kill the screen. I should indeed have one as a spare part... Good luck.

    Skinning igo?

I've been trying to skin/play around with Igo settings and I can't seem to figure it out or get it to work. Had anyone had success at changing the skin/look of Igo?

    Hi dyn620,
    thanks for your advice.
I cannot get any wiring info for my car so I mesure the resistance changes
with a meter of the 3 remaining wires from original harness and 2 registered.
Connected AD1 and GND to them directly and managed to get 4 out of 6 buttons working.
I will try again when I get myself a resistor to connect to 5V and the AD1.

    CC Mark,
sorry to hear about your mishap, hope you managed to get the lcd fixed.

Hi, in my car steering wheel controls wiring diagram is like this :

Trying to identify Kernel and possible overclocking possibilities for DM7022 radio-swcontrols.jpg
There are 6 buttons in 2 groups. 2 signal lines. Without resistors only 4 buttons work. With resistors - all 6.

    Hi Guys,

After a bit of research, I decided to get a DM7033 pad. I've paid £128 for it inc delivery by Fed Ex. I now await its delivery & hoping that I dont get shafted by customs !

I will report back, when I have it & let everyone know about what I think of the pad compared to the DM7022 as I think I will be the only one who has had direct experiance of both, also if everything works out well I will publish contact details etc (I doubt if I will be the last person to kill their pad )
No doubt I will need help again setting it up etc & I hope all you guys stick around !

This thread has been a godsend for me & my first venture into android, so thanks guys !

    Mark
