    Most capacitive screens are also multi-touch. A capacitive screen works by sensing the conductive properties of your fingertip and a resistive screen works by sensing pressure on the screen. If you try to operate a capacitive screen while wearing a glove, it won't respond whereas a resistive screen will. Multi-touch means you can operate the screen with more than one finger as in "pinching" to change font size etc.
