  • Thanks Offworld. I did change the display on the tablet to HDMI but it still did not work. Not sure what may have gone wrong with it. Still not sure on how to do the whole flashing part. I"ve tried to even follow the directions on how to get the tablet to boot into recovery mode, and that didn't even work. Not even sure where to get the images from either. Hopefully though, a good version of Honeycomb will be available and I can use that. I did find a version of it and downloaded it, but i believe it's still a test version.

    Thanks for the help.
    Hi rotusz,
CWM from Market is "official" one aimed at phones. Our tablet is an "unofficial" device so you need a unofficial disk image to flash to your recovery partition. You have to use a recovery image that matches your firmware version. So get the right image, flash it to your recovery partition (a simpler process than flashing firmware!), and reboot into recovery mode.

All of these tablets will have phone stuff in them. "Honeycomb" is the only tablet-specific version.

The HDMI port has no cable insertion detection, so just plugging a cable in won't work. Go into the Menu>Settings>Display and change the output to HDMI. On 2.1 it is confusing because "none" = tablet, "component" doesn't exist, and the last is the HDMI. On 2.3.1 it's LCD or HDMI. Screen is usually mirrored between displays, except playing videos the device screen will go blank.
