I had used autonooter to root my Nook Color. Somehow the 1.4.1 update got installed and screwed things up and now I have a few problems. It will boot to what looks like a rooted nook home screen and then if I hit the n it goes back to a stock nook home screen and I lose all my apps. I can no longer get into market and none of the gmail apps work. When I hit n and it goes back to the stock nook home screen my gmail starts to work again :/ Very weird

Id like to re root somehow so I can get market back and my google account to work. What would be the easiest best solution ?

Easiest thing to do is get a microSD card (anything over 1gb is fine) and a card reader. Flash the bootable Clockwork on there. Get the latest stable CM7 build and gapps for that version. Boot the card, wipe system, data, both caches. Install the CM7 and gapps.. Done.. No more autonooter crap to worry about. Simple, sweet and takes 15 minutes to do.

I need help please. I just got a new Nook Color and I want to root it and use the Android apps. Could you please point me in the right direction on how to get started? I have searched online but I see different things. I like the "simple and sweet" part you put up at the last thread.

First you have to decide if you want to install CM7 on the internal memory or run it from an SD card. Then read the appropriate thread for instructions.
