3g connection

I have a basic cell phone (not a smart phone). Can I use the same 3g connection for my google android tablet?

I am asking the same question over here (*) as yet without response. If I receive a result I will quickly pass it on, and I will keep an eye on this thread, as well, in case advice comes to you first.
