7024 root and custom Rom

I'm new to this tablet and from what i've read we have root for this thing but no custom recovery but I see roms.

Sorry, I'm new to tablet mods....
How do we flash a rom without a custom recovery?

coby already release the official firmware..you can download it from their website.

I've seen that but how do i go about flashing the roms people upload to the forum? Do i just put it on the SD card and use the recovery method posted on the coby site?
