Well, blush on, I got my IdeaTab to pair with the MBN5k (press and hold that little button across from the slider switch until the LED flashes red / green), but there seems to be no cursor support in 4.1.1, so it is a bittersweet symphony...

You should get a cursor, I think. I get a cursor when I plug in my old Marble Mouse USB (using a host cable), which is a trackball with two buttons and works fine with my a2109 running stock 4.1.1.

MS 3500? What level of Android? 4.0.4 or 4.1.1 or a mod? Do tell...

Does this means that it pairs, but no cursor?

Pair with cursor? Me likee that... :p

Tried my MS BT mouse, cursor is a bit wee, but you can adjust the tracking speed under settings. Some apps do not support the wheel.

I'm surprised you got a BT mouse working. Lenovo has stated that the A2109 doesn't support BT mice, only BT keyboards. But then, it wouldn't be the first time Lenovo support has provided incorrect information.
