Acer A100 install can't install apps on External CD card

Hello,

I have Acer A100 Android 4.0.3, when I install app on my device all of them going to device memory not on external SD card, there is only one folder on SD card "LOST.DIR". How can I format my SD card to have possibility install apps on it.

It is not possible to put apps on an SD card on most versions of HC or ICS. Your manufacture needs to enable it or you have to have root to be able to make the modification to allow it.

There is nothing you can do to the SD card itself to change this. It must be done in the system files by changing the mount points.

Yes, you should be able to if you root. I can't speak to the link you provided but as always with rooting proceed at your own risk. Make sure you know what you are doing first and ask questions if you are not sure. Once you are rooted you will need to look into changing the drive mounting. A search should pull up instructions on how to do that.

I'm not saying the instructions you found to root are wrong just that I am not familiar with them. Look around and ask in the Acer forum. Here is an example of changing the mount points for Vizio but it should be the same thing http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...fication-discussion-post-root.html#post149089. Again, look in the Acer forum and try a search.
