acer brightness issue

Got an acer tablet for christmas and have been unable to reduce the screen brightness. Have tried removing the auro brightness and manually adjusting it. Moving the slider bar does not seem to have any effect. Any help would be appreciated.

Try rebooting to factory setting. Good luck
