Acer Email

    Got an email this morning from Acer wanting me to buy their new Acer tablet with Windows 8 on it. I called and expressed my dismay on having bought an Acer A500 that is so old now that it is no longer supported: i.e. no upgrade to Jelly Bean. She confirmed there would be no Jelly Bean upgrade available for my A500.
    Too bad; I really liked my A500..until I upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. All of a sudden things just no longer functioned. Now seems like the A500 has been abandoned. So it is now my turn for abandonment.

    Sorry, I've had no real problems since the ICS update. However, as far as ACER is concerned...I'm looking at ASUS next. I'm not impressed with the latest tabs from ACER.

    I love my A500. It works great.
