Acer Iconia A500 won't turn on/boot up/ start up

Hi, if anyone can help with a problem I have, that would be great. I bought a used Acer Iconia A500 about a month ago. The owner stated that it sometimes it was difficult to start it up, but I purchased the tablet anyways. It worked great for 3 weeks, but after turning it off and charging it one night, it would not start up again in the morning. What happens is the little white light on the power button comes on, but otherwise the tablet does not respond at all (no sounds, vibrations, screen doesn't turn on). I've tried the reset button and the hard reset with the volume button. I have also tried leaving the tablet on to deplete the battery, hoping that would reset the tablet. All of this did not work. The white indicator lights up and the red indicator lights up if you plug it in the charger. Can anyone give me some tips? Thank you

Unfortunately, it's a refurbished tablet and the refurbisher's warranty is expired so they won't provide any support
