Acer Virgin - and tablets too

Hi,
I'm new to tablets and Acer. I bought a used A500 on Amazon and like the tablet in general. But it does NOT have Android Market or Google Play. Seller said it did. This is disturbing and makes my tablet virtually useless as I can't get apps. I'm ever hopeful!
