ACTP - what is this?

I bought a refurbished Acer Iconia A500 tablet through J&R. Every time I power it on, it launches an application called "ACTP." Does anyone know what this is? As near as I can tell, it's some kind of testing or calibration application, perhaps something left behind by the factory when it was refurbished? Is it safe to uninstall?

go to settings --> privacy -->and press the factory data reset, this should wipe everything that is not part of the stock firmware off the tablet.
