Advent Vega USB hard drive

How do I get the Advent to work with a usb 2 hard drive. I have the docking station this powers up the hard drive but just shows the hard drive with a ! over it.

What ROM do you have on your Advent?

Which filesystem is the hard drive formated? NTFS of FAT32?

I read on MoDaCo, that sometimes people needed to reformat the drive in FAT32 before it was detected by the Advent. NTFS filesystem is only supported by a few ROMs, and none of the stock ROMs or the MoDaCo ROM.
