It may already be rooted. Go to google play=> search for Android Terminal Emulator=> install the app=> run the app and type su next to the $ prompt and press enter=> if the prompt now shows a hash tag # instead of the $ iit means you have superuser rights and your tablet is rooted already. Most of the 10.1 Irulus bought off ebay and amazon are already rooted. If it is rooted , I suggest installing an antivirus app to help protect your system files. I hope this helps.
