Android market

When using my Net Book to explore Android Market a 'SEARCH' window is available.
When I open Market on my Acer A100 the search window is missing. With so many APPS available it is very hard to find the APP I need for my Tablet without the search feature.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Click on the little magnifying glass, usually the universal Icon for search.
