Android Movie Market is up for 3.1 and soon (read next few weeks) for Froyo (2.2) and Gingerbread (2.3) The downside is that you may be out of luck if you have your device rooted or is recognized as using root utilities <Link> Those who load the Movie Market app will get an Error 49 when the app sees the device as rooted.
Android Movie Market for those who are not aware is similar to a NetFlix or Redbox for Android. It will offer new and recently released movies.
This is due to the basic security constraint placed on the copy protection for the movies. The logic is to prevent copying or redirection of movies downloaded. This application is just out. There will likely be efforts to circumvent the application protection controls. Until there is a workaround and your device is rooted, do not get this application.
