Android on cable internet

My new android does not recognize my cable hook up as it says it will in the user's manual.
How do I get the android tablet to work with cable?

Hi Dotty,

It is difficult to answer that question without knowing a bit more about your cable Internet and Tablet.

What I however would suggest is that instead of connecting the tablet directly to the Cable Internet you should rather put a cheap WiFi router between.

This way you have a standard interface and you gain mobility.

WiFi Routers are quite cheap these days and I would be surprised if your cable provider doesn't have a WiFi solution.

Ask your Cable company to give you a router, most supply them free as part of your deal.

Hi Dotty, welcome to Android Tablets and congratulations on your new tablet. Nice to have you as a member of the forum. As Tanzanite suggested, your best solution would be to get a wireless router to connect your tablet to the Internet.
