Android tablet 2.2 Crash

I received a android tablet 2.2 for my birthday, Saturday, I decided, to download an app from android apps. For some reason my android was wiped clean, when I switch on all I get is the little robot. Can someone tell me how to rectify this problem.

JS - it sounds like you might need to reinstall the firmware for the device. Contact the vendor of the device and see if they can guide you.
