Android Tablet as second screen (or alternative for iDisplay)

Hi,

is there a way to use my Acer iconia a500 Android Tablet as a second screen for my laptop like iDisplay für iPad.
(I know that iDisplay is also available for Android, but the review posts doesn't sound like i should buy this app).
(I doesn't mean a VPN copy screen).

any ideas?
