Well I was just reading yesterday that there is a new update OS on the way.

Officially I heard that it was called Jelly Bean even though it appears as a minor update v4.1.

So it appears that it is not going to be ANDROID v5. However that said apparently it is going to add a fair amount of functionality to the ANDROID OS - even if your tablet doesn't support the functionality. This was an article in AUSTRALIAN APC magazine August 2012 page 8 for those who are interested. Yes the article deals with the nexus tablets.

Personally I don't think that other manufacturers will be sleeping.

The Google tablet has jellybean, was playing with it at a local office supply store. Not truly amazing since everything worked pretty much the same but it will be nice to know that they are still upgrading our "old" devices.
