This probably isn't going to be of much help but ive had a look around the net and im not sure your tablet is the same as our Thunder. In any case the 'Thunder' is an OEM tablet that we stock, in other words it has no brand and is sold by many people all calling it different things. For this reason its extremely difficult to find any ROM's for it to root it.
If you manage to find any custom ROM for it from the net then save it to an SD card, turn off the tablet ---> restart the tablet in safety mode by holding the volume and power buttons at the same time ---> then use the volume buttons to select/install the ROM file from the SD card ---> then reboot the device. (thats normally how you do it)
If you really want a rooted tablet best bet would be to buy a branded one, like Cube U30GT, there's loads of guides and ROM's for that online.

so u carnt just root them u need a new ROM im new to tablets im just use to android phones where u use a program and it rooted it for u sorry for sounding stupid the only reason im wanted it rooting is to use apps that need root cheers diddobuy
