I figured I would put the question out there, are there any Roms for the 7022 other than the cm7 one that's being worked on. I just don't want to give up the ability to watch videos to have a custom rom. Just wandering if there was a rom built for another tablet that happens to work on the 7022 also?

I don't know about the ROM, but this may help you:

7022 specs
- processor: Telechips TCC8803
- board: m801

No becuase of touchscreen drivers and such

Everyone needs to email coby and ask why the firmware is not released for the 7022. Once it is released we will be able to have custom roms similar to how 7024/8024, etc now have custom roms becuase firmware was finally released for that device a few months ago

But there is a CM7 mod, so you can cook a custom ROM, right?

I got the system files of a 1125 (very similar hardware to 7022) and it seems that the Telechips build is much cleaner. I don't see any specific drivers for touchscreen as happens with 7024/8024/1024. Maybe it's easier to port/adapt a custom ROM. One can also check dmesg rigth after boot to get more info, and see how it activates the digitizer, it will help a lot.

The main problem I saw regarding 7022/1125 is that they don't seem to have a built-in SD card, so there is little space for custom files and the NAND partitioning isn't done in a script AFAIK, so maybe it can't be modified.
