I Have one coby tablet with a custom rom from 2.3 that has a perfectly funcional google play,etc but 2 specifics apps are not showing to me,but are listen on my friends,s tablet (with is a ASUS Transformer 1st generation)
the apps are
-Gmail Client (it,s better to use,but for now i think i manage to set up the "default" email client quite nicely,but a oficial client would be cool)
- Google Music (since i have only a 2 gb sd card pluged in there and sems the music app doesnt accept music put in the tablet nand i think i need this one badly)
- any wheather app that can show it even if i have to type in the city xD (think this one dont have gps althouth i read that it works if you have a bluetooth one + a bt dongle on the host adapter haha,to much of a trouble xD)
