I have the Haipad MID701. How can one determine the version of the rom installed on the device? Under settings/about/Kernel Version I see #331, but I haven't seen that listed here as a valid rom build.

When did you get your Haipad, you may want/need to upgrade . . . I would consult the forum off the Haipad's website (if applicable) until an owner off of here gets back to you. I know the G10 has one and its hugely helpful.

Just showed up yesterday. Its pretty nice, but the screen sensitivity is kind of sluggish. Only other bad thing I noticed is the g sensor calibration seems off in some games. I installed Swype and ADW which made a world of difference in the tablet experience (esp swype).

Good to know, I have seem very many good reviews of that tablet. Keep a look out for others who may need your help.
Thanks again. (definitely check to see if Haipad has a site forum, could mean a world of difference)

Their site seems to be down today (haipad.net), I'll keep checking for a forum. I'll probably try to flash the #370 kernel above and see what happens.

I added URIs which are linked by haipad.net to my previous post(#71). it is online.

BTW these are the udate steps that work for me on my wiipad.

6.2 Upgrade Android to the latest version or repeat program:
To put the power adapter plug into DC socket, turn power switch to ON, long press the button of Power first, then press Menu, and lose your finger when the power-up image appears and becomes stable. Connect the PC data wire to MINI USB slot (beside TF card).

I have a new HaiPad M701 running firmawre 320. I found this thread:
http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...0-wiipad-slim-plus-hipad-m701-8.html#post5360

which provides links to 3 different firmware updates. It took me a bit ti figure out the download on haipad.net because I don't read chinese, but eventually I figured out what to download. I have 330, 333, and 370 and was getting ready to update it. However, I don't want to brick it, so...

Has anyone updated to 370 successfully using the FDWN_V7 utility, if so, are there any warnings or gotchas I should be worried about?

Has anyone noticed any performance increases, or unexpected bugs?

If anyone else is unable to find the 333 and 370 firmware updates on the haipad.net site, I can make them available for download on my website. Just let me know.

Again, I haven't attempted it yet, I'm just wondering about anyone else's experience before I begin.

HDMI versions are ready and shipping. Not all that many were made, but if there's enough demand product will pick up.

Do you have a source to check or do you know when they will become available to buy? It has been a week so they should have shipped from a factory to a seller, I dont really know how the chinese market works offcourse but that sounded plausible. :D

My source is typically just checking Chinese forums and chat rooms in my freetime, so I'd say my sources are decent...

this step is also described in G10 update manual. it seems FWDN mode.
I'll try it later.

thank you for your report!

I've also installed firmware #370 but I see no difference in the function of the Home button even after changing settings in "Spare Parts". "Home then sleep" option does not work. I'm still waiting for a one-click solution to return to the desktop.

After installing #370, my Market app no longer works. I also seemed to have lost multi-touch funtionalilty. :-(
So, be warned about "upgrading" to a newer firmware.
